Daria’s Garden was designed as a tribute to Daria Bovet (1947–2013), sister of the lord of the manor, who was passionate about flowers—especially irises.
Located in an area that, according to 18th-century plans, once featured a walkway surrounded by shrubbery, the garden now winds its way between majestic tulip trees (Liriodendron tulipifera) and ends near a 30-meter-tall giant coast redwood (Sequoia sempervirens), one of the park’s iconic trees.
Visitors are invited to settle down in the heart of this vibrant springtime space. Here you will find a magnificent collection of Inkarho rhododendrons, Japanese azaleas, and an impressive variety of peonies—more than 25 different varieties.
A gravel path connects the flower beds, lined with rows of double white lilacs, including the highly fragrant Syringa vulgaris ‘Mme Lemoine’. Their delicate blooms accompany the months of May and June, while the panoramic view of Lake Geneva and the Alps completes this sensory walk.
