A few steps from the old stone bridge, this colorful 1,200 m² garden pays tribute to the Château’s guard dog, in his favorite place to play.
Laid out in three gravel circles eight meters in diameter, it forms a symmetrical, joyful, and contemporary composition. Each circle will feature a monumental sculpture by Manuel Torres, Beverly Pepper, or Gillian White, surrounded by philadelphus, fuchsias, and more than 2,000 white ‘Weisse Berliner’ tulips—a late variety chosen for its soft light and purity.
The edges of the path, punctuated with mock orange, lavatera, and climbing catmint, guide visitors through the successive blooms. Pale lavender catmint, philadelphus ‘Belle Étoile’, lavatera rosea, Magellan fuchsia, and ‘Annabelle’ or ‘Vanille Fraise’ hydrangeas accompany walkers from summer until the first frosts.
Benches scattered throughout invite visitors to pause and enjoy this green setting, where the diversity of shapes and colors interacts with the monumentality of art.
A 150-meter walk under the oldest trees of the bridle path, combining contemplation, emotion, and balance.
