History of the gardens

From family roots to a contemporary vision

In 1950, Doreen Bovet planted the first irises at Château de Vullierens, driven by her love of flowers and her visionary eye. Five years later, she made a bold decision for the time: to open her gardens to the public. This founding gesture was not only intended to share the beauty of her estate, but also to support the maintenance of the family heritage.

A vision that continues today

The current owner, Robert Bovet, is continuing the momentum initiated by his mother, creating new spaces and enriching the floral collections. The park has become a living space, where tradition and contemporary creation coexist in harmony.
