Graf / Mazenauer

In the gardens of Vullierens, Silhouette is a collaborative work by Markus Graf and Gabriel Mazenauer, created in steel in 2018. Composed of seven arches with straight and curved surfaces, it extends over 12 meters, giving the impression of emerging from the ground to traverse the air and disappear into the horizon, with the surrounding Swiss peaks as a backdrop. Depending on the viewpoint, the sculpture transforms: narrow or wide, intertwined or as delicate as a filigree. Installed in the park since 2019, this work plays with light, space, and structure, inviting visitors to reconsider the relationship between art and its environment. Graf and Mazenauer’s installations alter the perception of space and offer ever-changing perspectives.
